Nameless, Bahati thrill crowd at Safaricom Marathon in Lewa

The 15th edition of Safaricom Marathon in Lewa was marked with pomp and colour as over one thousand runners from different parts of the world converged at Lewa conservancy last weekend.

Legendary Kenyan artist Nameless was first on stage and performed his evergreen hits such "Sunshine", "Salary" and "Nimenoki".

Groove Male artist of the year Kevin Bahati thrilled the crowd that had gathered to cheer the runners after the half and full marathon races that marked 15 years of transforming lives in Lewa.

Elite and amateur runners from Holland, Australia, Brazil, United Kingdom and Prtugal among others took part in what has been billed as one of the toughest races around the globe in a world heritage site.

Philemon Baaru and Friday Lodepa fought the hot sun to retain their Safaricom Lewa marathon titles for the 3rd and 2nd time respectively.
