After a successful and exciting episode one, the VS Class Episode 2 is ready for take off!
Last episode, The Chairman, MI, multiple award lyricist, Mode 9, Rap diva, Sasha P, Rap Duo Show Dem Camp and a number of top MCs came together in April to launch The VS Class, the first of its kind hiphop radio show in Nigeria.
The first episode, which was hosted by OAPs, Olisa and Jimmie at the Beat FM featured ten underground MCs who showcased their skills by dropping sixteen mind-blowing bars for the opportunity to be named Nigeria's biggest MC. At the end of the show, underground rapper, Eclipse emerged winner of episode 1.
M.I, Mode9, Show Dem Camp, Sasha P, Eva and performed breath-taking freestyles non-stop that got everyone in the studio screaming with excitement.
The VS Class episode 2 will hold next Thursday, July 3rd at the Beat 99.9FM studios and will have the next set of judges including Illbliss, Reminisce, Falz and Yung6ix!
The show, which is sponsored by Hennessy features three episodes in 2014 and has guest judges including veteran rappers and DJs in the Nigerian music industry. The show will also honour rap icons in the Nigerian rap scene. These rappers will be placed on The VS Class Wall of Fame.
When it comes to Hip-Hop and modern-day R&B, the relationship between artistes and Hennessy is a full-blown pop culture phenomenon: artistes like 2 Pac, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, MI, Naeto C, eLDee, among many others.
