GYPTIAN’S PROMOTER AT PAINS TO CONVINCE MEDIA OF IMPENDING CONCERT

Kenyan promoter DS Njoroge was at pains to convince sceptical members of the fourth estate the four-concert tour by Gyptian in Kenya will actually happen.
Cynical journalists asked hard-hitting questions at the media launch of Gyptian’s Serious Times Live Tour where DS and Jamroo Brothers Entertainment CEO Carlos Henry announced the series of concerts.
Hosted at the Level Four restaurant in Chester House, DS assured the press that Gyptian won’t pull a no-show stunt.
“Unless of course there is an act of God, I’m sure Gyptian will come,” DS said, “Even in the contract we signed (with the artiste and his agents) there is an act of God clause, but we will do what is humanly possible to make sure he honours the show.”
Gyptian will be headlining four shows backed by the UK-based band Mafia and Fluxy.
The first two will be on September 2 and October 3 at Nairobi Agricultural Show of Kenya (ASK) DS Club International. Followed by another one in Meru town on October 4 and finally a beach party in Mombasa on Moi Day, October 10.
