JIMMY GAIT TO BUILD HOUSES FOR IDPS

Gospel singer Jimmy Gait recently took his philanthropic campaign of Make It Or Make It to the internally displaced families in Kieni Forest’s Huruma Village.
Jimmy together with Expansion International are planning to build houses for the IDPs but they are at a crossroad because, they do not have the land to build on. They currently live in semi permanent structures.

The event, saw various artistes appeal to the government to provide land for the construction to take place to fully settle the IDPs who have been living in the forest for 11 years now.
Jimmy who recently released the remix to Furi Furi dance featuring Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, TV personalities Julie Gichuru and Jeff Koinange, will use the single to raise funds.

“The single can be downloaded by Safaricom subscribers, all they have to do is download it by SMSing ‘Jimmy Gait’ and sending it to 8025,” he said.

JULIANI RALLIES CELEBRITY WAITERS FOR CHARITY

After the successful Kenyans for Kenya initiative drive that saw corporates and Kenyans from all walks of life come together to raise funds for our needy Kenyans from the north, Juliani adds to the kitty by rallying support from other celebrities through the Kama Si Sisi ‘Celebrities for Kenya’ Challenge to raise more funds for the initiative.

Valerie Kimani

Last month, hiphop artistes, singers, TV news personalities joined Juliani, through his Kama Si Sisi ‘Celebrities for Kenya’ Challenge at the famous Ranalo Foods (K'Osewe) restaurant located along Kimathi street for a noble cause by serving as waiters. On the day, they raised funds that went into feeding the hunger stricken Kenyans in Turkana.

Benefiting the Kenyans for Kenya Initiative, the likes of Safaricom’s CEO Bob Collymore, Nonini, Nameless, Avril, Eric Omondi, Jeff Koinange, BMF, John Allan Namu, Pierra Makena among other celebrities took orders from the customers and in the same breath distributed informative fliers urging them to contribute to the cause by tipping their services.

Pierra Makena

“As an extension of our contribution as musicians through the Kilio song that was used to drive the fundraising campaign, we would like to rally other artists and celebrities to contribute further by raising funds through this one day initiative” Juliani said.
Kama Si Sisi ‘Celebrities for Kenya’ was part of Juliani’s wider campaign Kama Si Sisi that uses various platforms to sensitize Kenyans on the need of taking care of yourself by taking care of others.
Here are some of the photos from the day....

HELLON ON K24

Joseph Hellon the jail bird jazz player was on K24 spewing Bible verses and defaming a number of people.
First up was Big Kev whom he says is on his death bed. According to Hellon, Kev's head is filling with blood and is on the verge of dying. Apparently, Big Kev called him on a private line and confessed that he was out to destroy him and that he is sorry.
The saxophonist denied Quincy Timberlake - the dude he endorsed to marry Former KTV news anchor Esther Arunga - has a wife. He claims Quincy's wife, Salome Gideon has been paid to pose as such. Shaking my head.
Another weird statement from the founder of Finger Of God church involved US televangelist Benny Hinn's pending divorce case.
Hellon said with certainty that Suzanne Hinn is planing to come and sue Kenyan media for publishing her divorce story. Hello, unless it's a grand conspiracy, Benny will be a divorcee sooner that Hellon can come up with a manifesto for his 2012 presidential bid.
Just as Jeff Koinange, kept asking Hellon if he is a raving lunatic, Hellon went ahead to say that come 2012, he will be firmly in State House ready to rule Kenya as the president alongside Quincy the as PM and Esther as VP *muffled sniffles* reality TV has never been this good and that he will finance his campaign solo. Thanks to the Pepsi Cola deal coming his way and the December Euro Jazz tour.
Driving an even deeper knife into the strained relationship he has with Esther's parents he said that Esters parents are 'making up for their past mistakes'.
Jesus take the wheel...
