ACTRESS ACCUSES COLLO OF SMEAR CAMPAIGN


A former reality TV show contestant Isabel Njeri know by her screen name on The Presenter as Bellah has accused rapper Collo of causing mischief for her with a former boss.
According to Bellah, Collo sent an SMS to her former boss – a bank CEO – accusing her of spreading rumours about him, claiming that Collo’s girlfriend is with child.
The CEO, them sent the text back to Bellah.
It read: “Hi Collo just sent me a message not happy with you for spreading rumours that he soon to be a daddy. This has gotten to his fiancee. He contacted me thinking you working for us i.e He wanted us to deal with you at that level, he is serious about it, so tafadhali if true wacha hiyo."
Bellah, also an actress on KBC’s Thursday night TV series Udhalimu told Hot Secrets, “I was confused, sad and angry, I did not understanding why Collo would actually make such decisions to try and get me fired even though I had stopped working at the said bank.”
She added, the whole situation was a culmination of a misunderstanding and shouldn’t have gone as far as it did. Anyhow, Bellah is now concentrating on working on her album although her single Maisha Yangu recorded by Mandugu Digital is already out.

COLLO IS NOW A NIGERIAN OGA!


Self-proclaimed King wa Rap Collo recently revealed that he now goes by the name Oga Collo Menta after visiting with Nigerian BBA winner Kevin Chuwang Pam.
“I was shocked by the love we received from our fans there. It was a humbling experience, having the Governor of the area knight me. I also got to do a collabo 2shotz and hopefully I will also get a chance to work with Tuface Idibia,” he said.
Kenya’s BBA contestant Jeremy Ndirangu and his fellow housemates were also part of the Nigerian visit.

Battle for the Copa Coca Cola Theme song



Today three Kenyan entertainers, Ulopa, Collo and Rachel, will find out who amongst them will be the voice for the theme song for ongoing COPA Coca-Cola games.
The song, which will cost Sh500,000 to produce will be the theme song for the final stages of the football tournament played this Saturday. The lucky singer will also get to perform at the event, which marks the end of tournament that has been going on for the last two months.
The three acts, all of whom are signed to the Ulopa Ngoma Label have already composed a song each and competitions on local radio stations are ongoing to select one of the songs as voted by the listeners. The three come from different backgrounds, musically.
Rapper Collo recently released his final album and announced that he was retiring from music but now might have to change his plans if he wins. While Ulopa is known as both a producer and singer, Rachel has honed her skills working as Eric Wainaina’s back-up singer.
Coca-Cola Kenya, Marketing Manager Pamela Mutua says that Coca-Cola has been promoting talent among the youth through sports and now music. This is just one of the company’s promotions for the year. There are plans to bring the World Cup trophy to Nairobi this November.

Collo of Klepto retires from music



Collo of the rap group Kleptomaniax has told Word Is that he is retiring from music and is leaving Kenya to relocate in the UK where he plans to venture into other businesses. This announcement comes in the wake plans to launch his second (and now final) album, Now is The Time this Friday.
“It is the last album we are doing as Kleptomaniax, we will be exploring other things,” adding, “I will be coming back to Kenya of course,” Collo,…age…, said.
The rest of the trio are Roba and Ulopa, who replaced Nyashinsky, who is currently in the US, will be on stage for the last time together at Divino’s for the Listening Party.
The final album features big names like M-Net Idols judge Scar, Bigpin and even Nyashinsky.
