Groove Tour To Hit Nakuru

Nakuru’s Afraha stadium will this weekend host the first Groove awards with Safaricom tour after a successful awards ceremony held in Nairobi this past weekend.

A total of 12 artists including Gloria Muliro, the winner of Female artist of the year, Hope Kid, winner of Raggae/Reggae Song of the year, Makena, David Mambo, Chuchu, DK and the new artist of the year Kevin Bahati among others are expected to perform.

New entrant to the gospel scene and celebrated singer Size 8 will also be part of the tour with DJ Sadic, MC Abel and Gospel Hypeman Gudah.

As part of the tour, Groove awards with Safaricom will hold a forum dubbed Groove Connect on Saturday which will target women entrepreneurs in Nakuru.

This is a forum skewed towards women that aims to encourage and challenge women by sharing some good life skills lessons.

This is the first of four Groove Tour concerts with Safaricom that will be held across the country.

From Nakuru the tour will move to Bungoma, Thika, Mombasa and end with the hugely popular New’s Eve Party in Nairobi.

This year’s Groove awards With Safaricom have seen new entrants in the Gospel scene walk away with top awards.

A total of 31 winners were announced with Gloria Muliro and Willy Paul scooping the most coveted awards of female and male artists of the year respectively.
