SK BLUE TO LAUNCH SMS SERVICE

Tomorrow, Gospel singer SK Blue will launch an SMS service for his company, Sakata Media.

Dubbed Sakata Mobi, the SMS service will be involved in ringtone service, bulk SMS, short codes and other value added services.

SK whose real name is Samuel Kuria is the co founder of Sakata media that runs an audio production studio and a video editing outfit that has worked with artists the likes of Juliani, Daddy Owen, Esther Wahome, Jimmy Gait, Cannibal, DNG among others.

He is also a co-host for the K24 gospel TV show dubbed Gospel Garage. Sakata Mobi is a Premium Rate Service provider that provides recorded information for subscribers of a network or live conversation for callers.

These services are usually channeled through SMS short codes or special numbers leased by network operators to PRS providers. They can also be used for short-term promotions or campaigns.
