GET READY FOR THE EMA'S

Tipped as being one of the biggest nights in music, this year’s event will showcase talent from the US, Europe, Asia and Africa.

This year’s awards will be hosted by Supermodel and businesswoman, Heidi Klum. For the second time in a row, the awards are taking place in Frankfurt at the Festhalle.

The aim is to build on the popularity of last year’s show in Belfast, which attracted 23 million viewers on all platforms as well as 158 million votes worldwide.

Africa’s hottest contemporary artists who had been nominated for a slot in the Worldwide Category are Sarkodie, Camp Mulla, Wizkid, Mi Casa and D'Banj.

D’Banj took the Best African Act Award but is no longer in the running for the World Wide Act as the World Wide Act Africa-India-Middle East Nominee went to Ahmed Soultan of Morocco. Ahmed will now battle it out for the top title with Han Geng, Dima Bilan, Restart and Rihanna.

To get the complete vibe on who wins, tune into DStv on Sunday 11 November at 11pm.
