MR 2KAY SET FOR FIRST EVER U.K PERFORMANCE


Port Harcourt based act and Grafton records signee, Mr 2Kay is set to make his first ever stage appearance at the annual Nigerian Carnival U.K event!

Nigerian carnival is an annual event held in London to celebrate the cultural heritage of Nigeria by Nigerians in the diaspora. Mr 2Kay will perform alongside other Nigerian acts like Rayce, Danny Young and others.

The event, which is in its 4th year, is a family oriented event normally attended by Nigerians from all parts of the United Kingdom. The event will hold on the 20th of October, 2012 at the Kennington Park, Kennington Park road, London SE11 4BE.

On his return, the “Waterside Boy” hit maker has been billed to perform in five major cities in Nigeria.

The waterside born star, who started his music career hustling and hawking to make ends meet has now become one of the most successful upcomers to make a name for himself in and outside the south south region of Nigeria.

2Kay is taking his career to the next level as he is set to unveil his new band named the “Oil City Band’’. The talented artiste has spent the last part of the year developing his art of performing live with his band.

The “Oil City Band” will make its debut appearance on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Silverbird Lounge in Abonema wharf road, Port Harcourt at 8pm.

There will also be guest appearances by Chidinma Ekile, Ghanaian female act, Becca and veteran rapper, Illbliss.

After the release of his debut album in March, Mr 2kay will release another hit track titled "Bubugaga" on October 8, 2012. The track which is an electronic afro fuse pop song was produced by a Port Harcourt based producer called Luripi.
