CONSERVATIONIST PAULA KAHUMBU ON CNN'S AFRICAN VOICES

Tomorrow, Friday 28th September 7:30 (GMT) on African Voices, CNN’s David McKenzie will interview Dr. Paula Kahumbu, Executive Director of the Kenya Land Conservation Trust and Wildlife Direct.

After the 2004 Asian tsunami, she rescued a baby hippo that formed an unusual bond with a giant tortoise. The pair received global media attention and encouraged Kahumbu to think of innovative ways to save species and reduce the growing human–wildlife conflict.

Wildlife Direct is an internet based conservation organization that is building a global community of people who care about wildlife in Africa by giving them a chance to interact with conservationists on the ground, and giving those conservationists a voice through blogs on wildlifedirect.org.
