ERIC WAINAINA IS SPOKESPERSON FOR BODA BODA SAFETY

Eric Wainaina has partnered with Listed Company Car and General (Kenya) Limited to promote a road safety campaign to help reduce accidents involving motorcycle riders.

Speaking during the delivery of an LML scooter for the campaign by Raphael Atanda, the Communications and Marketing Manager of Car and General, Eric said, “I am keen to reduce the rising rate of motorcycle accidents in Kenya. Boda boda riders need to be made aware of measures they should observe for their safety and that of their passengers.”

“Turning to the subjects of rising fuel prices and increasing traffic problems, people need to know that motorcycles are an alternative means of transport. Bikes are convenient and save time and money.”

“The campaign will emphasize safety measures such as wearing of safety clothing consisting of boots, gloves, reflective vests, riding jackets, glasses, and helmets and maintenance issues on the use of regular, genuine parts and services for their motorcycles. I will also promote rider training covering compliance with the traffic rules and respect for other road users.”

Car and General is the distributor for TVS and Suzuki motorcycles, the Piaggio range of vehicles, Briggs and Stratton power equipment, Cummins diesel generators and Ingersoll-Rand air compressors and construction equipment.
