NAIROBI, GET READY FOR LADYSMITH BLACK MAMBAZO!




Grammy Award winners Ladysmith Black Mambazo are booked for a three-day show in Nairobi and Mombasa. The group will be performing at the annual Safaricom Kenyan Classical Fusion concert slotted for September 28 to October 1.
Ladysmith Black Mambazo are billed as South Africa’s top-selling musical artistes who have released more than 65 albums since their 1970 recording debut. In 1987, their album Shaka Zulu received the Grammy Award for the Best Traditional Recording in the World. To date Ladysmith Black Mambazo was nominated thirteen (13) times for Grammy Awards.
From 2010 to 2011 the legendary music group will be celebrating 50th Anniversary (1960-2010), together as one.



The first show will be hosted at the Great Lake Butterfly (Haller Park) in Mombasa where Ladysmith Black Mambazo will be joined on stage with Sauti Sol. Then on September 30, the South African group will share a stage with The Kenya Conservatoire of Music Orchestra at the Nairobi Arboretum that will also couple with dinner for a cool Sh 4500.
The final show will be at the Impala grounds on October 2. The family show that will kick off at noon and the gate charges are Sh 500.
