GROOVE AWARDS WINNERS 2011
The just concluded Groove Awards saw various new faces awarded for their efforts in the gospel arena. The highlight was when Daddy Owen gave his award for Male Artiste of the Year to Juliani saying, "he is an artiste who deserves it and is yet to be recognised for his efforts". This was Daddy Owen's fourth award for the evening after scooping three other award for his collaborative single Saluti that features other acts like Esther Wahome, Emmy Kosgei and Kambua. The awards include Collabo of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year.

Artiste of the Year Uganda - Exodus
Gospel TV show of the Year - Crossover 101
Dance Group of the Year - Saints
Audio Producer of the Year - Dr Eddie
Skiza Ring Back Tone of the Year - Rose Muhando
Pwani Song Of Year - Marion Shako, Adonai
Burundi Artiste of the Year - Joy Nkundimana
Outstanding Contributor Award - Mary Atieno Ominde
Hip Hop song of the Year – Juliani
Artiste of the Year Southern Sudan - General Mannaseh Mathiang
Radio Presenter of the Year - Syombua Wa Mwele of Musyi FM
Tanzanian Artiste of the Year to Christina Shusho (Rose Muhando collects the award on behalf of the Christina)
Western Song of the Year - Linet Webukhulu for her song Vuyanzi
Rift Valley Song of the Year - Emily Chebet for her song Chesireret
Video Producer Of The Year Award - J Blessing
The Nyanza Song Of The Year Award - Carol Nyakwaka for the song Owinjore Gi Pako
Artiste of the year Rwandan - Blessed Sisters
Gospel Radio Show of the Year - Gospel Sunday on Milele FM
Worship Song of the Year - Paul Mwai for the track I'm On The Race
Reggae/Ragga category of the Year - Praise Him by Alemba and Sadiq
