Popular female pugilist Congestina Achieng started a foundation named after herself on Saturday to “knock out sexual violence in our midst” and increase knowledge on gender violence in the community.
It targets the local community from Kasarani, Starehe and Embakasi divisions, local NGO officials, and Government officers. This is a public campaign with no political attachment.

The launch was at Ndururuno Secondary School along Juja road where Conjestina demonstrated that boxing could be a tool for self-defense.
The foundations also aims at making boxing professional for the upcoming young female talents and promote the young female boxing talents in Kenya and establish an opportunity for them who could progress their talents in Kenya and beyond.
