Morgan Heritage and DJ Blitz Mombasa dates clash

The Easter Holiday will see two foreign entertainers in the country for two different gigs on the same night. Reggae band Morgan Heritage and UK DJ Shorty Blitz will each be in the country courtesy of two different sponsors. However their Coast dates are set to clash with both performing on April 11 at venues that are within a kilometre of each other.
The Jamaican reggae group concert is organised by footballer Dennis Oliech’s event’s company, Fishbourne. They will be live on stage at the Mombasa beach hotel. While, The UK DJ will be spinning at the Smirnoff Uncompromised grande finale show on the same day at Tembo Disco.
Fishbourne’s Nixon Onywanda said the situation would not be a problem, at least not for the reggae lovers. “Everyone has their own market they are targeting,” adding that the gate charges will be Sh1,000 advance and Sh1500 at the gate.
Juliana Kagwa, the Smirnoff brand manager, said in her speech on Tuesday. “Please note that we go for quality and not huge numbers for uncompromised parties. To crown our efforts, we reach out to party lovers and all looking for a fun night out to come join us at the Tembo Disco for Kenya’s purest party.”
Tickets for the function will be priced at Sh300 each and with each purchase a reveller will get one Smirnoff Ice.
