TPF STARS RELEASE VIDEO!



Not one, not two but three of the former Tusker Project Fame contestants have teamed up and released a collabo music video for the single Nisamehe.
The trio, Ng'ang'alito, Amileena and Ruff combined their musical prowess in this song.

The video sponsored by Bernsoft was released today and will soon be hitting the Kenyan TV circuits. Anyhow, have a look see and judge for thine-self whether it is a hit or a miss.

NIKKI TO RECORD UNDER OWN LABEL


Singer Nikki is back in the grind after the success of her debut album Twisted Straight.
The Radio personality is now releasing a single off her yet to be laughed sophomore album titled DragonFly. She told Hot Secrets, DragonFly would be ready for release in 2011.
The Tusker Project Fame host whose real name is Sheila Mwanyigha has released the single I’m Leaving under her own label StellarScape.
The lovelorn song was produced by Eric Musyoka from Decimal Media, and recorded under Nikki’s record label StellarScape Records.
Nikki said, “StellarScape only has me to start with because I would like to create a template that works. I don't want to promise something that I cannot give. But I shall be looking for ladies who are looking for a break very soon.”
The video for the single is out and was shot by Ogopa. The Niwe Wako hitmaker clarified that she does not have any beef with Ogopa. “I really do like the work that Ogopa have done for me, and would like to clear any misunderstanding that I am never going to work with them. The video was shot in February and the delay in its release was due to technical and logistical issues.
Watch out for the video, in the meantime, burudika na hit yake moja iitwayo, Niwe Wako.

NINA BOLA SAYS YES TO ONLINE PROPOSAL


Former Tusker Project Fame siren Nina Bola said yes to a marriage proposal after her longtime fiancé Omondi Abudho, created a website with the proposal.
The two have been dating for years even before Nina was on the talent search show. Abudho who is an art director of one of the Advertising firms in the city said the decision to go digital on his proposal was his was his way of “expressing love.”
“I could not wait another day to ask her to marry me,” Abudho said, “and she has said yes.”
The couple already have a daughter, Aurea and is described on the website as “cheerful yet stubborn”. However, the soon to be hubby added that the website is not a publicity stunt for the next season of Tusker Project Fame.

Robber who attacked TPF11 winner arrested



One of the robbers who attacked TPF11 winner Esther ‘the body’ Nabaasa, her manager Tshaka Mayanja and Sound engineer Johan was arrested early last week on Monday.
The attack that happened early last month at Master Max Studios in Johannesburg at about 10.30am left Johan with a gunshot wound in his hand and the robbers making away with money valuables from the studio. Master Max studios is a sister studio to Gallo Records and is located at Johan’s home in Johannesburg. Esther escaped unharmed.
In a recent interview Tshaka revealed, “Johan called me on Monday and told me the police had arrested one of the thugs and were closing in on the rest.”

Tusker Project Fame II: Meet the Ugandans


Esther Nabaasa Mugizi
21 year old is currently a student of Makerere University where she is undertaking a degree in Telecommunication Engineering. She holds Bob Marley in high regard.


Naava Asha Zziwa
Naava considers herself a Tom-boy of sorts. A resident of Kampala, the 25 year old was in the process of setting up a computer bureau and joining campus when Tusker project Fame came calling.
A huge fan of RnB and soul, this is Zziwa’s first shot in music and it has already landed her to stardom! When her ears are not plugged to the earphone, she likes hanging out, theatre comedy, cooking and adventure.


Steven Oundo
Stephen Oundo likes listening to instrumental jazz, swimming, playing, cracking jokes with friends, and writing songs. His encounter with a guitar and eventually music started when he was seven when his late father left him a guitar and since then, he has never looked back. He holds a Bachelors degree in development studies.


Jacob Nsaali
A business man with a flair for music, the 27 year old was born in Namirembe, Kampala and later attended Bugema University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
Currently, he teaches computer packages and computer repair and maintenance at his Mulungi Business Centre, from which he has taken a break to give Tusker Project Fame a try. Apart from basketball, he likes writing songs, singing, playing tennis soccer and making friends.


Arthur Kiwala
25 year old Arthur reckons he is already famous. Now he wants to be superstar. He is a TV presenter at Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC) where he hosts a gospel musical programme soul touch. Apart from his musical activities, the former student of Kyambogo College also who loves nature trail and singing.
