SaWA Ladies Mentorship Program Host Male Role Models For The First Time

Among the personalities/role models that graced the training sessions, was Executive Director, Communication, Corporate and Students affairs Mr. Moses Maina. As a business course lecturer, he trained the SaWA ladies on importance of business strategies. He holds a BeD (UON), currently pursuing his Masters in business administration from the same university and also an ACCA finalist.

We are grateful to Mr. Maina for believing in the SaWA ladies and giving them an opportunity to receive further education that will help them shape their future by offering the girls’ Sports Scholarship in the university.

Mr. Zak Syengo, the Head of Marketing at Rafiki Microfinance Bank, with eight years of experience was one of the trainers of the sessions together with Mr. Moses Maina. His vast knowledge in Marketing and brand communication, strategy and business development created a great base of training to the SaWA ladies.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree, first class honors in Research Sciences earned from the Maseno University, MBA from Strathmore Business School and Pan African EMBA from IESE Business School, Barcelona, Spain and postgraduate certificate from Wageningen University, The Netherlands. Zak is currently a PhD student at JKUAT.

He is passionate about creating opportunities for youth and women for them to be empowered, socially and financially through entrepreneurship.

Savara Mudigi, addressed the ladies on gender equality and women empowerment towards success especially in the entertainment industry. Together with the role models, he shared personal experiences in an effort to teach the young girls that you do not need to experience a situation in order to learn from it.
