Hillsong Church South Africa Arrives In Nairobi, Kenya

A team of 53 people from Hillsong Church South Africa will be arriving in Nairobi on 6 September. Christ Is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) through their media arm Hope Media host the Hillsong team. They will be involved in a variety of activities and outreaches in and around Nairobi for the next week. On the weekend, they will be involved in activities at CITAM, which includes a woman’s event called Sisterhood at CITAM Valley Road and a worship event at the CITAM Karen venue on Saturday night.

According to the Head of Media at CITAM, Kingston Ogango, the event will also provide an opportunity to share the message of Hope and love to many seeking to find meaning and purpose for their lives. This is not the first time that the Hillsong team travels in other parts of Africa; previously they have been to Zambia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Lesotho.

“The whole idea of coming to Kenya is to serve the people of Nairobi and to make friends and build relationships,” said Alan Bainbridge who is one of the team
leaders. Addressing a media conference ahead of the event, Anthony Ndiema the Hope FM Station Manager noted that a majority of inquiries have been made as regards the validity of the event.

“Now more than ever, we wish to confirm that indeed Hillsong will be in the house and the Worship Night is on with doors opening at 4:00 pm this Saturday the 9 th of September 2017.” Bainbridge also added that Hillsong Church South Africa Lead Pastors Phil and Lucinda Dooley will be leading the team in Nairobi. “We are excited to arrive in Nairobi and to make many new friends in Kenya” said Bainbridge.
