Former Kenyan Pop Star Admitted To Rehab Over Alcoholism

Do you all remember the music group Sema? They rocked the charts with their hits like Leo, Sakalakata and Leta Wimbo. Sema comprised of musicians Pam Waithaka, Sanaipei Tande and Kevin Waweru.

The group dispersed and they each sought out their fortunes as solo artistes. Sanaipei had her stint in radio before she quit to focus on her career. Kevin went back to school and little is known about what he is up to.

Well Pam Waithaka is currently in rehab at The Serenity Place Rehabilitation Centre, situated in the up-market estate of Kahawa Sukari near Kenyatta University and the Kahawa Barracks for alcoholism.

"Pam is admitted in rehab following prolonged alcoholism," a source said.
"She is admitted in the rehab for the second time following several relapses."
She was spotted at the rehab on Saturday during visiting hours, which take place from 9am to noon. She was the vocal talent of the Sema group and voted the most likely to succeed.
