Radio Personality Hosts Charity Drive At Machakos Girls Rescue Joined By Jimmy Gait, Bahati, Ommy Dimpoz And Alicios

 

On the 18th of December, several celebrities joined radio personality Mzazi Willy Tuva in a charity drive to the Machakos Girls Rescue center.

The event was graced by; Mzazi, Jimmy Gait, Bahati, Mr. Seed, Ommy Dimpoz, Alicios, Radio Citizen's Syombua Mwele, Pastor Edward Ngaira, Focus, Eric Manyikah, Sameer Bry, Urban Touch Crew, Melody Sinzore, Aruna and a Joseph Lendrix foundation representative.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event Mzazi Willy said ,"Everyone can make a difference, what you consider a small gesture is really big to someone in need. I thank all the celebrities who came through to help and especially Jimmy Gait for coming with his corporate partners After 40 Hotel."

During the event, the Manager of the rescue center Mrs. Constance Mwasa also expressed her gratitude for the kind gesture. "This will keep us going for a while, but we need much more. We urge the Mzazi Foundation and all their sponsors to continue working with us on a long-term basis”. She added.

Talking on behalf of After 40 Hotel, Miss Ciru Muchemi, the General Manager of Samchi Group said, "We are really happy to be here, we feel privileged for the opportunity to give. We as After40 Hotel are grateful to be part of such a worthy initiative. We look forward to more partnerships and such opportunities. Mine is just to wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy new year."

Also present at the charity drive was Timothy Kimanzi, a waiter at the hotel, who hails from the area.

For Mr. Kimanzi the occasion hit a little close to home, having grown up in the area the charity drive meant more to him than most."I honestly can't express the joy I ;this trip has really touched me. This means so much to me, it's amazing that the company that I work for cares about my own people and would bring us all the way here,” he said.
 
Kimanzi was accompanying other staff members from the hotels that were accompanying their brand ambassador, Jimmy Gait, for the charity event.

The charity drive was organized by The Mzazi Foundation.
