Koffi Olomide Wants You, His Fans To Fight For His Justice

Koffi Olomide's social media team have decided to take the "victim" route for his defense.

The star who was filmed assaulting his dancer, Pamela, at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, was deported from Kenya. His subsequent shows in other countries like Zambia were canceled.

Today, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison, a term to be served in his home country Democratic Republic Of Congo.

His team has decided to call on his fans to push for his release.

In a Facebook post, Koffi's team write,
À tous nos amis, Koffi files et Koffillettes: Suite à L'INJUSTICE QUE SUBIT NOTRE ARTISTE KOFFI OLOMIDE, QUI VIENT D'ÊTRE TRANSMIS EN PRISON Sans-Condamnation-Prononcée, NI VERDICT DU JUGEMENT ET LE REFUS PAR LE PROCUREUR D'ÉCOUTER LA DANSEUSE SUPPOSÉE ÊTRE LA VICTIME, NOUS VOUS PRIONS DE METTRE, CETTE PHOTO DE NOTRE ARTISTE SUR TOUS, VOS COMPTES RÉSEAUX SOCIAUX EN SIGNE DE PROTESTATION ET SURTOUT DE SOUTIENT POUR L'ARTISTE
KOFFI OLOMIDE.
MERCI.
Loosely translated, the post is calling on the Lingala singer's friends and fans to right the "injustice" where "Koffi Olomide is being jailed without the court fisrt hearing his side of the story."

The team then asks fans to "put up a photo of Koffi on their social media accounts in solidarity with the jailed star."
