Jamaican Star Chronixx Excited To Visit Kenya
GoodTimes Africa is bringing Jamaican reggae super-star Chronixx to Kenya for a show of epic proportions.
With anti-war messages, calls for equality and performing with a live band called the Zinc Fence Redemption, Chronixx is modernizing reggae staples and breathing new life into the roots reggae movement. He brings his striking vocals and alluring stage presence to Nairobi on Saturday, June 18th at the K.I.C.C. Grounds.
Chronixx is one of the most popular reggae artists in the world.
He says: “I’m excited to visit Nairobi because Kenya is home to over 60,000* of my Facebook fans.” (*This is the second highest country count outside of Jamaica.) The young reggae vocalist is often referred to as one of the leaders of the recent “Reggae Revival” revolution.
This position has been solidified by hits such as “Smile Jamaica” and “Here Comes Trouble” off his 2014, The Dread & Terrible Project which topped both the Billboard and iTunes reggae charts.
The June 18th concert marks Chronixx’s return visit to Nairobi where he last performed in 2013 as a Peace Ambassador ahead of Kenya's general elections.
Other performers include: ZJ Heno & Empire Sounds, Kris Darling & Dhoty Family, Muzikal Sheriff & Ras Style, Fyah Mummah Jahmby & Selector Technics + MC Phillipo.
