Kenyan songstress Kavi Pratt has released her new single and video, Only Lover.
Flaunting her sultry vocals, the funky R&B and house song is produced by Jaaz Odongo (of Motion Image and Sound), and the video directed by Mbithi Masya - Of Just A Band.
Kavi says, "I feel really great about this video, it's quirky and different just like me. I think it's really hilarious as well and I was really relaxed and comfortable working with my creative team," adding, "We came up with the concept for ONLY LOVER together with Mbithi and he did a fantastic job bringing the vision to light. As of the song itself, Jaaz is always great to work with always he's so professional and creative."
The singer who has been linked to Sauti Sol's Delvin Mudigi described the song.
"ONLY LOVER is about what we all go through and secretly do when we are completely into someone. Things like checking their social media just to see what they are doing and sometimes freaking out when you accidentally double tap on a photo," Kavi says.
This is Kavi's first self–styled video. In the video, the actor K1 plays her love interest. "He was so on point with his performance. I love his facial expressions. He made it all come together," Kavi says. The video's cinematography and colouring was by Joan Poggio. The music video is a prefect show for the beauty of magical Kenya.
