Congolese Star Ferre Gola Arrives Today Minutes After The Pope's Arrival

Congolese crooner Ferre Gola will be landing in Kenya at JKIA today evening at 5:45pm with a team of 20 band members.

He arrives minutes after Pope Francis who will be in the country for a three-day visit, the first leg of his historic African tour.

He is set to touch down at The Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) at 5pm.

During his visit, Pope Francis will celebrate mass with Kenyans and hold various meetings with President Uhuru Kenyatta, religious leaders, the youth, members of the diplomatic Corp and spend time with the less fortunate members of society.

Anyhow, Ferre who is famed for his hit Kamasutra, 100 Kilos and Seben is scheduled to perform at the Bomas of Kenya on Friday 27 from 6pm.

This will be Ferre's second visit to Kenya after he gave an electric performance in 2009.

This will however be the first time he will be performing while at the top of his career. He becomes the second high profile Congolese artist to performer in Kenya in the recent past after Papa Wemba who also serenaded fans in 2014.
