Gospel stars Rufftone and Willy Paul have raised issue with how the industry views and treats Kenyans musicians.
In clearly worded posts they two articulated their beef.
Willy Paul wrote: "It's so sad to see the Kenyan industry, showbizz in general... struggling trying to build international artists while our own are languishing in poverty..... we fight one another instead of helping and figuring out how to get to the next level and raising our flag to other Nations...(sic)"
He continued, "Look at Tanzania, they've given @diamondplatnumz all the support... just to raise the name of their Nation.. if we don't change now.. then our music industry will never be taken seriously.. #onemancanchangetheworld. (sic)"
In a different post the newly appointed South Korean Ambassador for public diplomacy wrote, "Bwana Asifiwe team. Just realised that KENYA is the only country in the entire WORLD with a music show Titled "KAMPALA TOP 20" Not even in Uganda do we have this show. Now ninaanzisha show yangu. MADAGASCAR TOP 1000."
