KIDUM PLANS TO LAUNCH HIS 5-COUNTRY ALBUM

Burundian born singer and drummer Kidum is planning on ‘a grande launch’ for his fourth album, Haturudi Nyuma.
Speaking to Hot Secrets, Kidum said he is in talks with his distributors, SoundAfrica on the logistics of the launch.
He describes his album as “one that brings five countries together” as it includes collaborations with big acts from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda.
“I wanted to have an East African presence that is why I chose to work with popular acts from the region,” Kidum said.
The 12-track album features Nameless (Greedy), Lady Jay Dee (Nitafanya), Juliana Kanyomozi (Haturudi Nyuma), and Rwandese Frankie Joe (Kipenda Roho) and has his much sought-after chart-topping hit, Mapenzi.
The singer known for his infectious tunes also clarified that there is no bad blood between him and Tanzanian producer Hermy B, after re-doing Nitafanya with R Kay.
“The audio quality was not as I wanted it to be, that is why I opted to re record it with R Kay.”
Kidum has released other albums that have been a success like Yaramenje, Shamba and Ishano.
