K’NAAN DEMANDS APOLOGY FROM SA TIMES
Somali rapper K’Naan defended himself on his twitter page after a South African paper branded him “difficult” to work with. K'Naan is asking for an apology and a retraction from the paper.
“I just read a Times Live article entitled "K'naan is difficult". A piece entirely based on the opinion of "an insider" who is never named. It's unfortunate when one of the biggest paper in South Africa can publish a rumor piece without ever qualifying any of their statements,” K’Naan wrote, “They claim that "the insider" says that I did not want to perform in Alexandra because "its too dangerous" actually, to be completely honest, I prefer playing in the townships cause I enjoy the energy and vibe… and to add insult to injury, we've never actually been asked to play a show in Alexandra. If the Times in Jo’burg has any journalistic integrity, they need to retract and publish an apology.”

maybe instead of this artist 'demanding' an apology from SA, he should check himself and realize his own arrogance.
ReplyDeleteYour song was not SO great and you are not such a big name in the industry to make such demands and noise.
You WERE rude and whiny and you stood by and rode the coat tails of Will I am of BEP.
No respect for this artist in my book.
