Estelle eyes Kenya

Another Kenyan making waves abroad is Sir Prestige. UK based BBC 1Xtra DJ, real name Patrick Waweru. Not only is a player on the UK/Kenyan hip-hop scene where he has discovered and nurtured a number of talented artists, he also has the bragging rights to discovering British super star Estelle. He did her demo tapes and recorded her earlier work. Sir Prestige is currently in Kenya to prepare for the Smirnoff Uncompromised final show in Mombasa this Saturday.
He is also the promoter behind UK DJ Shorty Blitz the guest DJ at the event.
Sir Prestige told Word Is that Estelle is really willing to come to Kenya once she can fit it in her schedule.

Sir Prestige in town

Kenyan executive production mogul Sir Prestige aka Patrick Waweru is in town in preparation for the Smirnoff Uncompromised bash in caoto, this Easter weekend.
He is the promoter behind the UK DJ Shorty Blitz. The BBC 1Xtra producer, Sir Prestige was born in Nakuru, raised in Nairobi and then moved to London in1986. There he formed his own music label Social Misfit Entertainment and a music association of artists known as Social Misfits. As an Executive Director for the label he sealed a distribution deal for the label with BMG in its first year, he has had his artists perform throughout the UK and Africa, graced numerous big magazines and TV shows. Sir Prestige is currently working on the long awaited debut album by Englishkid, Watu Wangu - an upcoming project showcasing Kenyan talent and another Sir Prestige/Social Misfits album.
