Chocolate City Kenyan Signee, Qritiqal has been nominated
for two All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in the Best Male Artiste in Eastern
Africa and Best Artiste in African Reggae, Ragga and Dancehall.
He has been nominated for his first single under the label
called “Malkia” which is a dancehall infused sound delivered in Swahili.
In the past, Qritiqal has won Best Video of the Year 2010 at
the Nzumari Awards and the Best Video of The Year at the Coast Music Awards.
Qritiqal is the only Kenyan artiste in the Best Artiste in
African Reggae, Ragga and Dancehall. He will be battling it out with Nigeria’s
2baba and Timaya, Uganda’s Bebe Cool and Juliana Kanyomozi among others.
In the Best Male Artiste in Eastern Africa, he will be
competing with Kenya’s Octopizzo and Mura, Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo and Tanzania’s
Ali Kiba and Diamond Platnumz among others.
“I am truly honoured to be nominated for such prestigious
awards. This is a testament to the fact that Kenyan artistes are being
recognized and appreciated in Africa. I urge all my fans to vote me and help me
bring these awards back home,” said an elated Qritiqal.
The awards will be held in Nigeria on November 12th 2017.

The All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in partnership with the
African Union is the biggest music event on the continent developed to
celebrate, reward and showcase the rich musical culture of Africa, stimulate
conversations among Africans and between Africa and the rest of the globe about
the great potentials and values of the African culture and artistic heritage
for the purpose of creating jobs, eradicating extreme poverty, calling
attention of world leaders to Africa and promoting the positive image of Africa
to the rest of the world.
