Thousands
of fans turned up at Machakos Peoples’ Park last Sunday to attend this
year’s Groove Awards with Safaricom Media Tour concert.
Crowd favourite Eko Dydda was joined on stage by “Mateke” hitmaker, Size 8, Guardian Angel, Stephen Kasolo and Daddy Owen
among others.
Eko Dydda’s two sons; 5-year-old ‘Keep It Real’ and 2-year-old ‘Am Blessed’ (their Pseudo names) charmed the crowd with their
hit rap ‘Sunday’ leaving many startled.
“Bamba Mbaya” by Kelele Takatifu was the show stopper at the gospel party which had Dj Sadic on the decks and was mceed by
MC Alemba and MC Abel.
This was the first of five Groove Media Tour concert with Safaricom that will be held across the country.
The second one will be held in Eldoret on 21st
May 2017 while the next concert will be in Karatina before the Groove Award Gala which is scheduled for 1st June 2017 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre. The Tours will thereafter resume and visit Meru and Kakamega.
