Koffi Olomide is a free man. This is after authorities in his home country, Democratic Republic of Congo "provisionally released" the legendary Lingala star who was detained for the better part of last week.
Koffi confirmed this news on his Facebook page where he also posted photos of him and his family - wife and three kids.
The Selfie hitmaker was deported from Kenya after he kicked his dancer, Pamela on their arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi.
The footage of the incident went viral and Kenyans on social media called for the government to arrest Koffi.
Anyhow, on his release the 'soukous' star took to social media to thank his fans.
"À la maison en Famille. .... Merci est un mot trop simple. Ce que je souhaiterais exprimer est au-dessus de cela. Je suis à la fois touché et reconnaissant pour le soutien indéfectible que vous m'avez apporté, je ne pourrai jamais assez vous remercier #BétonArmé #Agbada (I'm home Family. Thanks .... is too simple a word. What I would like to express is above that. I am both humbled and grateful for the unwavering support you have given me, I can never thank you enough #BétonArmé #Agbada)"
