Miss Kenya Does Us Proud In London. Jets Back Today!

The curtains to the World's most coveted and premier beauty pageant came down on Sunday at the Miss World Finals 2014 held in Excel London.

Kenya witnessed probably its biggest and well organized pageant which produced Miss World Kenya, Idah Nguma as the second Kenyan get to top ten in the final stage out of 121 countries.

She joins Yolanda Masinde in the year 2000 who accomplished the same feat.

Idah was named Miss Africa runners up after she dazzled with her charisma. She was the winner of Beauty With a Purpose which comes with $10,000, made it to top 5 in Beach Fashion Category and was voted top 25 in peoples choice category.

Kenya’s Auction Gift (Passion of Elephant) from Maltbronze raised 5,000 pounds.

In a press statement, the Miss World Kenya secretariate wrote, "We at the Miss World Kenya secretariat are proud of her for her exemplary performance."

Idah jeted back into the country today aboard Kenya Airways flight no. KQ101 at 0630hrs.
