Introducing The Affiliates, Kenya's new rap crew

Affiliates is an urban music duo originating from Nairobi, Kenya. Founded in 2009 by three high school friends namely WillX, J-Star and V2.

Initially a three piece band, the group lost one of their co-founding members, V2 to a road accident back in 2011.

Not ones to be discouraged by misfortunes. The duo embarked on releasing quality music to the growing urban music lovers and this saw them secure a nomination slot at the 2012 Chagua La Teeniez awards in a category that pitted them alongside industry heavyweights like Juliani, Sauti Sol, P-Unit, M.O.G and Camp Mulla.

They have a new single out dubbed On & On.

The song is a new age type of rap, short verses, slow paced and simple lyrics with an infectious chorus.

With simple angle shots and live background, Affiliates highlights the harmonious coexistence between music and nature.
