8 Local Soccer Fans In UK This Weekend Courtesy of Barclays Bank

As league leaders Arsenal and third placed Chelsea host Cardiff City and Norwich city respectively, eight fans from Kenya will be among the thousands following the action from the stadium terraces of the soccer loving city of London.

This is courtesy of an all paid expense trip prize for the winners of the ongoing Barclays Bank of Kenya Premier League campaign that is open to Barclays Premier League account holders.

The trip comes at the when the English Premier League fever is at an all-time high due to recent entry of Victor Wanyama; the first Kenyan to play in the much coveted League.

Wanyama joined the premier league entrants Southampton on a record breaking contract valued at £12 million.

Speaking during the send –off party hosted by the Bank, Barclays Banking of Kenya Head of Distribution Godwin Onungah said, “Apart from our commitment to ensuring that we provide the best financial solutions and value added propositions to you, Barclays has always been in the forefront is supporting activities that enhance the well-being of their customers and that’s why we opted to take our customers to the most exciting and competitive league in the world”.

The local financial services provider is targeting soccer lovers through the promotion that commenced with the kickoff of the 2013/2014 English premier leagues season in August. “Customers can earn entries to the monthly draw if the balance in the account during the calendar month prior to the draw is maintained at Ksh 50,000. Others are an entry for every single transaction of at least Kshs 2,500 spent at any Visa merchant worldwide, One entry for every ATM withdrawal and two bonus points if the balance in the account at the time of the draw is above Kshs 100,000,” concluded Mr Onungah.
