Nairobi Half Life Film director David 'Tosh' Gitonga was last week awarded at a Zimbabwean Film Festival.
Tosh won a prestigious award at the International Images Film Festival held in Harare.
His work was celebrated by being awarded that coveted Walter Mparutsa Prize.
The Walter Mparutsa Prize was introduced to recognise films that showcase positive male role models.
Other winners were "Prehistorie laTunisie" director Ben Ahmed Hamdi scooped the Best Short Film Award and "Suffering Grasses" directed by Lara Lee was voted the Best Documentary.
