Brick And Lace's Nyla Gets Signed Plans African Tour

Nyla has just signed a new recording deal with Konfrontation Records / Universal a new label owned by KyMani Marley son of Legend Bob Marley and brokered by her UK based manager Christopher Grey of Greyology Inc who also works with fellow Jamaican reggae star CeCile, Leona Lewis, Lush and many other top international artists including African superstars Jim Iyke and Nadia Buari.

The talented, stylish and beautiful Nailah 'Nyla' Thorbourne delights with her new debut solo single from her new album, three years after the group's massive 'Love is Wicked' single which has an amazing 19 million views on YouTube.

Nyla shows there's still room for growth with her debut solo single 'Stand Up'.


Grey says: "Nyla is a beautiful soul who's solo album is comes with a unique sound for the reggae dancehall market drawing influence from dance, electronic, hip hop, and, above all reggae music. The promo video for Stand Up highlights Nyla's sultry looks with some additional eye candy for the ladies and illustrates that she has a style all of her own as she plans a tour of African shows in the near future following her popular visits to the continent with her sister as Brick & Lace alongside megastar Akon."

He continued, "We last saw Brick n Lace high in the the charts in Europe and Africa released through Sony but more recently Nyla has been busy writing tracks for such artists J.Lo and Christina Aguilera among others working with some of the biggest names in the music business including huge dance producer David Guetta Nyla's previous big hit with her sister the sassy 'Love Is Wicked' was remarkable and resulted in massive popularity, this time around she also has high expectations for an album with some amazing collaborations including a beautiful song called 'Magic' with KyMani Marley. Nyla is also part of the international support for the Make A Change Campaign initiated by CeCile and Christopher Grey which supports scholarships, education, healthcare and youth economic development in Kenya and across the continent.
