Various Kenyan Celebs To Be Hawkers For A Day

Suzanna Owiyo convinced a number of Kenyan celebrities to join her tomorrow morning at Wakulima Market to sell vegetables.

This will be part of the Soko Bila Waste “Every little thing Counts” Trust Initiative aimed at sensitizing the vendors, consumers and farmers on the importance of reducing food wastage from the various levels of the distribution chain in Kenya.


The Soko Bila Waste supports UNEP’s global food waste campaign, THINK EAT SAVE ‘Reduce your Food print’.

To mark this year’s World Environment Day on June 5, Soko Bila Waste has invited women personalities to trade places with women vendors at Wakulima Market and carry out a cleanup exercise will also be carried.

In attendance will be a UNEP representative, TV personality Catherine Kasavuli, Pinky Ghelani, Former Big Brother contestant Sheila Kwamboka, Gospel singers Emmy Kosgei, Esther Wahome, Kambua, Size 8, news anchors Janet Mbugua and Lilian Muli, Laura Walubengo, Ann Mc’creath, Amani, Hellen Mtawale, Iddi Achieng, Avril, Marya,Ann Kiguta, Hon Rachael Shebesh – Nairobi City County Representative.
