Capital FM Staff Hawk T-shirts For Charity

Capital FM radio presenters and other staff members hit the road to hawk t-shirts for charity.

They were doing this for the Mater Heart Run Program whose aim is to assist children from families who cannot afford the cost of cardiac surgery.

The project pays for open heart surgery which is costly due to the high volume and cost of imported consumables used, as well as the need for post operative intensive care.

Where children are concerned, families are requested to contribute whatever they can.

The Mater Heart Run assists families who cannot afford the cost of cardiac surgery. The Mater Hospital has joined with various local and international organisations to raise funds for children aged 6 Months to 18 years old.

Our Major international partner in this regard is Terres Des Hommes,a dutch NGO which subsidizes a specified number of surgeries and catheterization in children each year.Local fund raising is done through the annual Mater Heart Run and other events together with donations from private individuals and corporate organisations.

Soulo tweeted about the excersise. He wrote: "itssoulo: Was a lot of fun I managed to sell 5 RT OK @itssoulo I wonder if you sold any? & when did @EddTashjoin capital? http://t.co/LIT6JNqUxK"
