Samuel L Jackson will be shooting a movie in South Africa later this month.
According to various online sources the bad boy of the big screen will be joining the cast of a new Japanese anime movie, Kite, which is set to be shot in Johannesburg.
South African film producer and CEO of Videovision Entertaiment Anant Singh announced on Monday that Samuel has been signed on to star in the film, which will be produced by Singh and Los Angeles producer Brain Cox.
Pre-production on the film has already kicked off, while casting is underway to find local South African actors to fill several roles in the film.
Speaking about his involvement with the project,
Jackson said: "The zest and enthusiasm David Ellis had for this project led to my commitment to do it. The same commitment to David leads met to fulfil my obligation to see his dedication fulfilled."
Singh has said he is "delighted" to finally be working with Jackson.
"Sam has been a friend for over 25 years and we served on the board of Artists for a Free South Africa together. I am delighted to finally be working with him, especially in South Africa."
