DON JAZZY RELEASES AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS SAMSUNG FOOTBALL ANTHEM

Nigerian multi award-winning record producer, songwriter, and musician, Don Jazzy, has released a football anthem to be used to generate excitement around the on-coming African Cup of Nations.

Samsung Electronics, an official sponsor of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations, SOUTH AFRICA 2013, has launched its anthem for the tournament.

The song, dubbed ‘Samsung Football Anthem’ is written in English. It inspires celebration and joy among all people and emphasizes breaking down barriers that would hinder peace and unity. The song is a mix of many genres including pop, electro-house, dance, and African, making it very appealing to a wide range of listeners.

“Africa, this is your chance to reveal your talent to the world. We want you to be the voice of the continent, so get involved. Music and football are core to what we stand for. As Africa people, this is a great way to show your pride and passion,” says Don Jazzy.

“Through the rhythmic African sound and cheering voices of football fans, the Samsung Football Anthem will resonate well where football fans are gathered to cheer for their national teams.” said Robert Ngeru, Samsung Electronics East Africa Deputy Managing Director.

The song will be played at all Samsung Fan Zones and Samsung sponsored Orange Africa Cup of Nations events. The anthem can be downloaded from Samsung Facebook pages in Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. (https://apps.facebook.com/samsung_afcon/).

Football enthusiasts also have a chance to win exciting prizes from Samsung by participating in a social media competition, where they are required to upload their videos while singing the Samsung Football Anthem.
