The much anticipated music video for the Hennessy Artistry 2012 theme song, "Bartender" featuring M.I and Naeto C premiered at a star studded cocktail event on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Villa Picasso in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Prominent individuals in the marketing and entertainment industries were present to watch the much anticipated music video and to show their love and support for Nigeria's leading spirit, Hennessy cognac.
Starting out with a lush cocktail session, guests were taken briefly through the Hennessy Artistry project and its history before they watched the spectacular music video.
"We organized this event to show our appreciation to friends, partners and lovers of the Hennessy brand who have supported us since the beginning of this year's project. This year's video is definitely the best music video we have had in the Hennessy Artistry project so far and we are glad to be working with a group of creative and talented people" says Hennessy Marketing Manager Tokini Peterside.
General Manager of Beat FM, Deji Awokoya expressed his satisfaction for the video and the project. "We are very happy to be a part of the Hennessy Artistry project, and to also see history take place with M.I and Naeto C on one collaboration track together. The music video is beyond impressive!"
The avant garde Artistry 2012 video was directed by Film Maker Clarence Peters and showcases pure creativity and an elevated class that Hennessy is known for.
"The video is long overdue as I was supposed to work with Artistry in 2010. The success of this video came naturally having two of Nigeria's favourite rappers, M.I and Naeto on one set" the ace video Director, who has worked closely with all of Nigeria's best musicians, explained.
"I couldn't ask for a better music video for the track. Clarence is a talented director and I'm happy he is on this year's project. There's still more to come…watch out for the VIP events" Naeto C said.
Although M.I could not attend the event due to unavoidable circumstances, he took to his twitter account and apologized for not making the event.
Bartender video also premiered on Friday, August 17, 2012 on www.notjustok.com at 1pm and on Trace Urban at 2:18pm.
The Hennessy Artistry Club Tour kicks off on August 31, 2012 and will hold in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.
Joining M.I and Naeto on the Club Tour, will be a group of Nigeria's most promising artistes.
Fans spent weeks voting for the following acts - Burna Boy, Chuddy K, DammyKrane, Dpzle, Flowssick, L.O.S, Ms. Jaie, Rayce, Solidstar, Tilla Man, Tunde Ednut and Vector. The final list of selected acts will be revealed to the public next week.

Since Hennessy Artistry was first unveiled in Nigeria in 2007, Hennessy Cognac has maintained its position as Nigeria's and the world's leading cognac brand. Hennessy Artistry has since evolved from a cocktail-mixing contest between renowned bartenders to a DJ battle, and is now an important platform for experimental collaborations between multi-talented artistes. Previous participating entertainers include Ice Prince, Nneka, Sir Shina Peters, Banky W, Eldee, Tiwa Savage, Jesse Jagz, Bez, Mo'Cheddah among others.
