MALTA GUINNESS UNVEILS STREET DANCE JUDGES

The judges for the Kenyan nations auditions for this year’s edition of the Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa comprise of three leading choreographers who are also award-winning dancers.
The three: Wini Nkinda, Moses “Qqu” Odhiambo and Boneless will be judging the auditions that will take place on July 25 at KICC.
Announcing the selection early in the week, Malta Guinness Brand Manager, Irene Gitonga said, “In appreciating that street dance is an evolving art form, we have gone through a streamlined selection process, and we are extremely delighted to incorporate Wini, Moses and Boneless in this year’s judging panel”.
The three will have the arduous task of selecting Kenya’s best street dance group to represent the country at the finals, which will be hosted in Nairobi in September.
Wini’s street credibility in choreography stems from the fact that she currently owns and runs her own dance programmes for schools across Nairobi. She also featured prominently in Nameless and Nonini’s music videos back in 2000. Wini was one half of the dance duo Boomba Girls.
Moses, who prefers to go by the name Qqu (pronounced kuku) is a multi-talented artiste and one half of the music and dance group NIX. He has also appeared in several music videos, mostly Wyre’s.
Boneless is a veteran dancer in the hip-hop arena. He was also the winner of the Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa – Kenya for 2008.
