  1. I thought kalasha awards were meant to bring awareness towards kenya's movie industry by rewarding those involved in making this industry thrive? that said; the movies nominated do not reflect the actual reality of this industry. the people behind the nominations completely chose to ignore (whether on purpose or out of sheer ignorance, i haven't a clue) kenya's movie industry 'factory' riverwood. i was expecting popular kikuyu comedian machang'i to be one of the nominees, instead, the list of nominees reads more like a group that wishes it was a hollywood production when it grew up. this is my challenge to kalasha; take the stars of those movies nominated and then take the real kenyan movie stars of riverwood - host two concert type events and see which event will have a larger turn out.
