The promoters of singer Kanda Bongo Man’s concert in Mombasa over the weekend have banned the sale of advance tickets for his Saturday show.
The renowned Congolese king of the Kwasa Kwasa dance style is set to perform at the Carnival Sea Front. The Club’s Public Relations Officer Leonard Simba explained: “We have decided to take this bold step to curb any possible sale of fake tickets and we would like to assure Kwasa Kwasa fans that all will be well.” He urged fans to get to the venue early to avoid a rush at the last minute. Tickets will cost Sh500 at the gate.
Simba confirmed Bongoman would arrive in Nairobi tomorrow, April 3, after a show in Juba. He will travel to Mombasa on Saturday April 4 for the show.
