Nairobi, Friday 5th September 2008….. QFM the recently launched Kiswahili radio station by Nation Media Group will this weekend Kata Kiu in Nakuru on Saturday at Eclipse Hotel, from 2pm, where QFM will host Nakuru residents to watch the match between Kenya and Namibia with the station’s leading presenters and provide an opportunity for residents to have a feel of the station’s offering.
On Sunday, the team will be in Eldoret at Huruma Grounds for a road show at 2pm where, where residents will get a first hand experience of the stations offering. The station whose preposition is “Kata Kiu” is set to revolutionize Swahili radio station offering through quality sound, presentation and programming.
Present at the road show will be some of the station’s leading presenters amongst them Nyambane, and Talia who will provide snippets of their shows and entertain the attendees.
QFM went live on Monday 25th August with frequencies in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nyeri, Meru, Eldoret and Nakuru – the station will be expanding to other regions of the country. The station will air different genres of music including Bongo, Reggae, Rumba and R&B.
QFM promises to give in-depth, credible and unbiased news, play smooth music and entertain its listeners with the best presenters through interactive programs.
