A list of the Final Nominated entries of not less than 30 categories will be released during a Theme Unveiling and sponsors launch to be held on 1st October 2008. The proposed list of the 8th Kisima Music Awards Nomination Academy chaired by Sheila Amdany of Radio Simba comprises of Julie Erusa, Arthur Kamau,David Kuria,Julian Macharia,David Ohingo,Lucia Shikuku,Charles Otieno,Makarios Onyango, Lydia Migwi,Shaffie Weru,Jackline Oduol,John Katana,Henry Njuguna,Irene Chege,Michel Otieno,Felix Kyalo,Wairimu Gachie,Fred Orido ,Emelda Isaacs among others.
Voting by the general public within the East Africa through sms to a short code and online voting (www.kisimaawards.co.ke)for the international audience outside the East Africa region will kick off on 1st October to 25th November 2008.
According to Victor Mayeya C.E.O Kisima Music Awards there is a tremendous growth being witnessed from across as most artistes are developing the understanding of the awards scheme which will be an integral part of the Kisima Music Awards initiative to legitimately reward, promote and market local music.
