Applications are now open to apply for the chance to perform at the 11th edition of Sauti za Busara. In past years, more than 350 groups have performed, including Cheikh Lo, Khaira Arby, Mokoomba, Samba Mapangala & Orchestra Virunga, Nneka, Natacha Atlas, Didier Awadi, Bassekou Kouyate, Jagwa Music, Tumi & the Volume, Fredy Massamba, Thandiswa, Culture Musical Club, Orchestre Poly Rythmo, Sousou & Maher Cissoko and more. The festival features live music only, i.e. no playback Note we receive hundreds of applications every year.
All artists have to complete online application and send recordings to reach our office before 31 July 2012.
The festival selection committee meets in August and all applicants are notified of outcomes by email during September.
How to apply to perform at Sauti za Busara 2014 Your application can only be considered if we have received a completed application from you before 31 July.
Your application must include the following:
a completed form including short biography (max 1000 words)
one or two recent recordings (CD or DVD)
one or two photographs (JPG or paper)
