Speaking to Hot Secrets, Jimmy said, "I'm honored, more so because I know there are other artistes who would have been chosen to represent Mwafaka Awards. I know that not everyone can be a spokesperson for a brand, but they chose me. Mwafaka Awards is known for bringing up talent and empowering them.
"My campaign, Make It or Make it will also join Mwafaka Awards in putting a stamp on what they are doing. Since it centers on empowering the youth, their theme resonates well with what the campaign is all about."
The founder of the awards said, "Mwafaka is now Nationwide, there is need for the growth of the brand, because in other areas of the country there are Christians who are working hard to develop their talent. My dream for this award is to go Pan African. It started in Kasarani, then moved to Eastands later to Nairobi, now it has grown to cover the whole nation."
"Mwafaka will be celebrating people who making Christians proud. And Jimmy Gait is the first artiste to collaborate with bigshots in the media and corporate world. He has made us proud."
The awards nomination night will see the nominees announced, after which there will be a series of tours around the major countries to drum up support for the nominees. The towns listed for tour include Eldoret, Nakuru and Machakos.
The theme for the award ceremony is peace and thus there will be a white carpet to replace the traditional red carpet.
