FAB, Kenya's premiere Fashion And Beauty expo is back again this year between the 6-8 of July at Westgate shopping mall.
The previous events have boasted numbers like 15,000 in footfall alone. With a platform to showcase designers and boutiques, beauty
products and brands in the fashion and beauty industry – this pioneer event has grown in leaps and bounds.
With daily fashion shows produced by a top model management company, Strut It Afrika, this years event will definitely attract more crowds.
Entertainment ranges from a live band by Dew Entertainment as well as a guest celebrity appearance by Deejay Adrian of Capital FM. The shows will be at 1pm and 5pm daily and is flanked by a Snapp Diva lounge.
Snapp is the new diva drink launched by EABL – here at the lounge you can sample their drink as well as have exclusive seating and a great
view to the catwalk. Snapp is supporting the industry by using its diva brand image.
Taking to the stage as this years event emcee is none other than Miss Kenya USA who is back in Kenya promoting several projects.
Other things to look forward to is a yoga demonstration by the Africa Yoga Project, a project that teaches the impoverished how to teach the
exercise form of yoga and combining it with acrobatics this 'acroyoga' demo is being talked about all over town! Kenyan Stylista will be
giving talks on style and Olive Gachara will also give image tips. There will be a few surprises as well as plenty of chances to win!
Google plus will have a lounge and registration area. Here you can take your pictures and allow google to tag you. You will also have a
chance to win with Google. Google and FAB are going to be hosting hangouts on line boasting the top in the East African industry as well
as those from the USA and UK.
It is a shopaholics delight as hordes of entrepreneurs who bring in clothes and shoes from abroad will be at this ideal location with
massive deals and discounts. Also you will see local designers like Bahati and Johari as well as the FAFA emerging designers showcase
their latest collection. FAB supports student and upcoming designers by allowing them to use this platform to be seen.
With Kenyan fashion fast becoming a force to be reckoned with and Kenyan fashionistas looking the part, the organizers insist that this
is a casual Kenyan Fashion Week if you will. The event will boast a great mix of designer wear and high street fashion – all what the
Kenyan diva is about!
Says Mercy of Westgate Management "It is up to us to embrace the industry and the changes that are taking place on a daily basis. We
have a prime location that we offer out twice a year for FAB and we extend our support by allowing them to be a part of FAB at a very
reasonable rate as well as offering this to the public at no cost. The idea is to make the industry flourish. If you have a shop or are a
designer, if you make your own make up or import it – here in Kenya we celebrate fashion from all angles and we are proud to be associated
with FAB."
The event is supported by; Capital FM, True Love Magazine, TrueBlaq, Philips, SuzieBeauty, Resolution Health, Snapp, Strut It Afrika,
Sheez hair, Cocoa By Design, Africa Yoga Project and Google Plus.
