GOSPEL ACTS SPREAD THE LOVE WITH PRISON BEDS

A number of gospel artistes joined Mavuno Church in a hand over ceremony at the Industrial Area Prison proceeds of which came from last month’s Love Festival concert in which American singer Kirk Franklin headlined.
The church believes Kenyan Prisons are places that are essentially supposed to be centres of rehabilitations and restoration but in reality, they are places with appalling living conditions and overcrowding. They aim to bring some semblance of humanity as regards the prisoners sleeping conditions. Thus they decided to equip the Industrial Area Remand Prison with beds for all the prisoners. This initiative was supported by various acts who also entertained the prisoners on October 18 including Kanjii, Chit Chat and Mavuno Worship Project.
